IP Triple Countersuit Coming?
There is specualtion that IP Triple, Yokota’s former sub-contracted phone service provider has successfully moved Allied Telesis’s lawsuit to Federal Court and has submitted their own countersuit. The countersuit has is suggested to be much to do with Yokota’s failed service in 2008, failure to receive payment for services from Allied Telesis, and interference in pending contracts at other military installations in the States. There is some indication that IP Triple’s countersuit would far exceed the amount requested by Allied Telesis within their complaint. Attempts were made to review the previously posted filings by Allied Telesis against IP Triple via their website, however, all documentation has been removed from public viewing. We are reviewing the our files and will repost the pleading to our site should we be able to locate a valid copy.
Allied Telesis and AAFES through past released statements via Stars and Stripes publications have indicated that Allied Telesis had been meeting its ongoing commitments and will remain doing so. Additionally, then AAFES General Manager Larry Salgado indicated that the break in service was a total shock to AAFES as there had been no prior warning before termination of services provided by IP Triple.
Let us hope that the situation resolves itself for not only the improvement of Yokota’s services, but for our sister bases as well who are feeling the repercussions of this disagreement.
